We had a GREAT time at the zoo this week. Alex had fun taking in all the sights and we loved watching him as much as watching the animals. This particular chimpanzee was quite taken by him. She spent over half an hour watching him and trying to get his attention. It was probably the most amazing zoo experience I've ever had, including when I worked there in college and got to do cool things like feed the rhinos and pet the hippos.
This tiger probably though Alex looked like a tasty snack.
It's a good thing Ray was there to protect us.
We're pretty sure we'll be getting a zoo membership next spring. We are lucky to live in a city with such a fabulous zoo - it's a wonderful place to spend the day, or afternoon, or even just a couple of hours. We can't wait to do it again!
Oh, how fun! When we come visit you'll have to take us there. One of these days.... =)
